Kidney Stone


Kidney stones are one of the most common disorders of the urinary tract. This are the Crystals that form in urine and build up on the inner surfaces of the kidney ,the ureter, or the bladder. These stones contain various combinations of minerals and other chemicals, some of which are derived from your diet.
In Ayurvedic literature it is referred as Mutrashmari. Mutra means urine, Ashmari means stone. It is a troublesome complaint which may become an emergency at any point of time. Though it is a structural condition, Doon Ayurveda offers varieties of remedies and treatment regimen. Let us have a look.
Ayurvedic treatment of kidney stones involves the use of diuretic and stone-dissolving herbs in acute cases. The system is then cleaned and strengthened using toning and rejuvenating preparations. Symptoms of renal stone
1. Sever pain in abdominal, pubic region and back
2. Obstruction in urine flow
3. Pain during micturiation
4. Bleeding during urination, due toabrasion caused by the urinary calculi.
5. Distension of bladder, bad odour of urine.

Causes for Kidney stones –

Ayurvedic classical literature have emphasized two important factors as the reasons for urinary calculi.
VEEGDHARAN-Suppresion of natural urge like urination leads to the retention of toxins in the body this causes the sediment and precipitation of toxins in the form of calculus.
APTHYASEVAN- Untimely eating, over eating, indigestion, unwholesome food and beverages, Sedentry lifestyle, less intake of water, improper evacuation, spicy food etc. These two causes leads to formation of stones.
